Goals of the training
In the past years scientific knowledge has emerged, especially in the field of minitablets, which allows us to turn from the „art of tableting“ to a knowledge-based development and production of minitablets. On this basis the participants will be offered the basics of formulation development and the production of minitablets. In small groups the tableting trials are conducted under the supervision of experienced instructors at four workshop stations. Each participant will actively
participate in trials for the production of tablets and various methods for their characterization. On the basis of selected examples, typical approaches and solutions are shown, which are subsequently discussed in detail. At the end of the course, the participants should have basic
knowledge about the solution of tableting tasks for minitablets. The focus is on the natural sciences and engineering aspects of tableting. Regulatory aspects, such as cleaning or validation are not dealt with. Dedicated lectures dealing with:
- Formulation aspects
- Minitablets via direct compression and wet granulation
- Coating of minitablets
- Characterisation of minitablets
- Packaging of minitablets
- Punch design
- Clinical aspects of minitablets
The contents are available 12 months after your booking.
Target group
This course addresses everyone who is not yet an expert in theory and practice in
the field of minitablets. This includes all people in development, production and quality
control. The course is intended for academic staff and experienced laboratory workers
and manufacturing workers who want to get a sound understanding of processes,
formulations and quality aspects as well as clinical aspects of minitablets.
